Equipped with tools of the highest quality we are able to offer the following carpet cleaning services:
Carpet Cleaning Services
Spot and Stain RemovalWe have a range of different techniques and solutions available for spot and stain removal and we will do our utmost to remove any stains but it must be understood that dependent upon combinations of carpet and stain types along with time left, there will occasionally be some stains which will refuse to be removed. Wool – for example – is particularly prone to accepting colour change and this can be difficult – if not impossible – to reverse. We also recommend that so called stain removing products are either not used or used within extreme caution as they can make the colour unstable and have an adverse effect on future cleaning. Similarly, any discolouration caused by either wear and tear or sunlight bleaching is not reversible.Carpet ProtectionWe are able to offer carpet stain protection and it is recommended by the makers that this is applied to either new carpets (within a couple of days of fitting) or immediately after cleaning. The application can last for about four years and even remain active after being cleaned for three or four times. It makes the immediate treatment of spillages simple, simply blot (don’t rub) with some white kitchen towel. The process coats the fibres of the carpet/rug and prevents the absorption of stains – it also resists re-soiling by not allowing any soiling to “stick” to the fibres. The treatment is particularly recommended for wool and nylon carpets.Very Low Moisture Cleaning (VLM)For this process the carpet is initially agitated with either a rotary or counter rotating brush in order to lift the pile and make vacuuming more efficient, it is then thoroughly vacuumed before being sprinkled with soil absorption, granular “sponges”. These are then agitated into the pile using the contra rotating brush and left to do their work for about 30 mins. The carpet is then thoroughly vacuumed in both north-south and east- west direction to remove all of the sponges. The pile is re-set and your carpet us ready to use in about 15 mins. This process is particularly useful for surfaces such as “Sea Grass” which cannot be wet cleaned.Low Moisture Cleaning (LMC)After the same agitation and vacuuming as above the carpet is pre-sprayed with cleaning solution and agitated in. Then we use a “bonnet” fitted to a rotary brush and dampened with solution to “massage” the soiling from the carpet to the bonnet, which is occasionally rinsed, squeezed and re applied to continue the process until no further soiling is lifted. The pile is then re-set and your carpet will be left only very slightly damp. This process is used where soiling is only light or on carpets prone to shrinkage when over wetted.Hot Water Extraction (HWE)Following the above pre-treatment of the carpet we apply the pre-spray and agitate into the carpet with either brush type. A “dwell” period of about 20mins or so for the solution to get to work on the soiling and then the carpet is simultaneously rinsed and extracted using our machine with both high pressure water and very powerful twin vacuum suction in such a way that the clean water no sooner hits the fabric than it is sucked back out along with the soiling. This technique is the most common one used and with good agitation and solutions can remove real deep soiling. Very good for restaurants (greasy) and high traffic areas. Once again the pile is re-set and the carpet will be dry in 1-3 hours dependent upon drying conditions and use of air movers.Encapsulation Cleaning (Encap)This process is very similar to the LMC technique as above but is normally used in commercial situations with short pile carpets (or carpet tiles) where following the usual thorough vacuuming the carpet is sprayed with the “encapsulation” solution which, in turn is agitated into the carpet with the rotary brush. This is then left to dry – it evaporates fairly quickly – and the soiling is then removed by vacuuming. The solution works by acting as a sort of magnet to the soiling and draws the soiling from the fabric and encapsulates it! The secondary benefit of this method is that the solution comes with a built in stain protection to resist further soiling.
We were provided with a thoroughly good service from start to finish. We were able to arrange a cleaning time which worked well with our businesses working hours avoiding any inconvenience. After a nasty coffee spill and general dirt trodden down into the fabric the carpet looked ready to be replaced, however the carpet now looks brand new saving a lot of money. The results were better than we could of hoped for. We would recommend this service over others we have used before, and will be in contact in the future.
